motif for motive

One-year participatory art project, funded by Kultur_Formen | Berliner Projektfonds Kulturelle Bildung |

Berlin.2023

It explores themes of belonging and identity through printmaking and textile art. In collaboration with artist Nagham Hamoush, six workshops were conducted in cooperation with migrant-focused organisations, including Spielmobil AWO, Alsaeeda e.V., and Salam Kultur & Sportclub. Working with FLINTA+, children, and young people from multilingual and multicultural backgrounds, techniques such as linocut and screen printing were used to transform words, poetry, and personal motifs into wearable artworks. The project fostered a safe and creative space for self-expression, collaboration, and intercultural dialogue.
